What to stain it with? 🤯

No nervously cleaning up falling food for fear of getting more dirty clothes. No growing frustration, but plenty of peace and joy in watching the little one freely explore new flavours - this was what I really wanted and this is how I wanted to prepare my mind for expanding Matilda's diet.

I didn't want to wipe her chin or clothes all the time, thus distracting her from eating. Her comfort and ours gave us nice moments and we enjoyed it

This was achieved, but only after we had figured out a new rhythm of cleaning up the mess after meals. Unfortunately, stains were a big problem.

I've gathered a few things for you that we've tried and that have worked well:

1. Hot water

It is said to be truly effective (provided it is immediately used away on soiled clothing).
It rarely works on older stains.

Hot water works well on berries, blueberries, strawberries stains, etc. Just pour water straight from the kettle over them. The stain usually disappears already during this procedure

Remember not to clean blood with this method. It is said that for the human organics cold, for the rest warm water.

2. Sunshine

Probably the easiest way to get rid of stains from e.g. pumpkin, carrots, tomatoes on light-coloured clothes. Simply expose them to sunlight, which breaks down some of the pigments.

No scrubbing. Dirt disappears by itself.

3. Stain removal soap

For us, this is the most versatile way to deal with stains. If we don't know what to do with a stain, soap usually copes with it

Here it is only worth emphasising that with any method, the sooner we act the better.

Zap and let the soap run for a while. Then wash it normally.
Sometimes you have to repeat

4. Dishwashing liquid

This life-hack is related, among other things, to our bibs.

With their matt finish, greasy marks may remain visible, so it is advisable to pre-wash them with, for example, dishwashing liquid.

PREVENTION
It is worth having a good and effective bib to protect clothes from most dirt.

And what about You? What works best for you on stains?
